I appreciate Robert's aim of doing a trilogy w/ Peter Gabriel's 2nd album & Darryl Hall's Sacred Songs, but this is one time I'm glad the record company got their way and wouldn't allow most of Hall's vocal tracks to be released on the original Exposure album. Roche kills it!

I also like this version. although I think the version released was more appropriate in keeping with songs like " I may not have had enough of me ,but I've had enough of you" and "Disengage" as far as Mr. Hall not being on the lp till the 90's? he was ( at least in my country). North star. I bought the LP just after release. love hearing from you "Fripp" fans. learning new things thank you very much!

Awesome to know that this version exists, and happy as hell that Torre Roche was "stuck" singing the official version. Reminds me of the fire that Fripp was laying down in NYC back then, from Blondie to The League of Gentlemen, and (I can easily be wrong about "the where"), and across the board to even Bowie's "Fashion" album. Loud, Frippin' times back then!

I know that Fripp wanted Hall to sing on every track, but had to replace him with others (including Terre Roche) under pressure from his record label. Well, it was providential in this case, because the LP version with Ms Roche is infinitely better and more memorable than this one. Daryl Hall is a fine singer, but he didn't stretch himself at all. This song doesn't warrant singing it straight. Ms Roche perceived the insanity of the track and gave a suitably insane performance. This one should have been left in the vault.

I bought this album when it first came out and I still listen to it today. With Ronnie James dios' cousin on guitar, music definitely ran in the family. Kick ass metal.

'Exposure' was lso released on Peter Gabriel's second solo album with Robert Fripp.
